I don’t know about you, but I periodically use Notepad++ – a wonderful minimalistic open source editor aka notepad with great features. It is interesting that back in late April researchers found a buffer overflow with execution of arbitrary code. Since then, 4 new versions have been released, and the author has not fixed it, although, in fact, the author was informed about the vulnerability in the same April. Meaning a) don’t be like this; b) oh this open source; c) even in Notepad there may be critical vulnerabilities; d) what code notebook do you use?
