Google has redesigned the Fitbit app

The new app also allows users to log information without wearing a Fitbit device or Google Pixel Watch.

Google has announced that the redesigned Fitbit app, which features a new three-tab structure that makes it easier to access special health and fitness content, easy to view stats, is rolling out to users today.

As reported last month, Google claims that the updated design of the app makes it easier to use thanks to new tabs: “Today”, “Coach” and “You”. The “Today” tab already existed, but now it gives users access to statistics such as the number of steps taken today, stress levels, sleep and activity metrics. Users can customize the display of statistics by clicking the “Edit” button at the top of the tab, allowing them to focus on their personal goals.

Under the “Coach” tab, users can filter workouts by type, duration, equipment needed, instructor, etc. Additionally, Fitbit Premium users now have access to more content such as HIIT classes and dance cardio.

The Graphs section now breaks down metrics and highlights patterns so users can better understand health and wellness data. For example, by clicking on the “Active Zone Minutes” metric, users can learn their active rhythm zone, which is based on resting heart rate and age.

The “You” tab allows users to set their goals for step count, activity and sleep, and includes features such as achievements and community. According to the company, Fitbit has also improved the accuracy of step counting through better communication with the phone’s sensors.

The new app also allows users to log information without wearing a Fitbit device or Google Pixel Watch.
