As developers, we are always faced with an abundance of items to learn. With such a wide selection, it makes one wonder how they can go about learning and mastering each given technical framework, language, skill, or methodology.

Where do you start? How can you excel in your field with so many routes to go down? How do you maintain focus on one technology when another one looks equally juicy and attractive? Each technology bears its own fruits and you want to take a wholesome bite out of at least one of them.

When I was starting my path down the rabbit hole of computer science, I was perplexed and overwhelmed by my many options. Through my exploration and learning journey, I found myself coming out better and more equipped to provide great value the more I trod along this path. Not only that, but I also learned how to learn, and how to learn quickly and efficiently.

I discovered a framework that allowed me to, alongside my studies at university, delve deeply into game development, become competent in web development, understand how to apply and utilize the machine and deep learning algorithms, and ultimately thrive in my current position as a Salesforce developer — the marriage of business and programming.

In pursuit of learning a new technology, I implore you to keep an open mind, apply the framework I’m about to lay out for you, and see if it benefits you in the same way.
